Janno Kase

Master of Audits

Janno Kase is RaulWalter’s Lead Auditor, with more than 20 years of experience in IT audit, information security, risk management, and internal audit. He is a certified auditor in several internationally recognised frameworks, holding CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), and CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) certifications. Janno works with exceptional precision, methodological rigour, and professionalism, making him one of Estonia’s most experienced information security and IT audit specialists.

At RaulWalter, Janno is responsible for planning and conducting audits in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27005, and the Estonian Information Security Standard (E-ITS). His strength lies in combining risk assessment, technical analysis, and process auditing into a coherent and actionable overview that supports organisations in improving their maturity and ensuring compliance.

Janno’s background includes serving in IT and internal audit roles at the Bank of Estonia, where he performed risk assessments and information security controls and participated in audits within the European System of Central Banks. Before that, he led the IT advisory unit at KPMG Baltics, overseeing business continuity projects, information security management, e-voting audits, Mobile-ID service certification, PKI infrastructure audits, and large-scale public sector database reviews.

His academic background includes a master’s degree in Business Information Technology from Tallinn University of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Tartu. He is also a long-standing leader in the internal audit and information security community, having served as President of the ISACA Estonia Chapter since 2013 and as a member of the National Electoral Committee.
